Colorado company introduces 'smart gun' it hopes will lower the number of firearm deaths
Colorado-based weapons startup BioFire Technologies has introduced a "smart gun" that uses smartphone-like technology to keep it from being fired by unauthorized users. "We have something that's actually going to, for the first time ever, deliver on that promise of a firearm that only works for you," said Kai Kloepfer, the founder and CEO of BioFire Technologies.
